Of note, this report describes a plan related to the deployment of advanced technologies in electric transmission and distribution systems to help support the achievement of objectives of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act. The initial R&D plan presented in this report is focused on two near-term goals (1) establish a sustainable working group and R&D program that can support the achievement of CLCPA goals; and (2) identify and remove barriers to deploying technologies from the three high-priority areas. 

The next EPPAC meeting was held (3/25/24).

NYPSC filed its agenda for the next EPPAC meeting (3/22/24).

As background, the NYPSC opened this docket to implement the directives in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), which established an aggressive set of policy goals that will impact the electric grid, including electric transmission and distribution infrastructure.
