BG&E Files Update On Non-AMI Net-Metering Capable Meters

In Commission Order No. 90948 issued on December 14, 2023, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (“BGE”) was directed to provide an update on finding a suitable replacement for net metering capable non-AMI meters every 90 days or until a replacement meter is found.
BGE has identified a vendor who has non-AMI net-metering capable meters available and is in active negotiations with the vendor. Once meter samples have been received, BGE will conduct the appropriate testing and implement any internal updates necessary to support the meters before approving them for installation. BGE will provide another update on this subject when it has approved a non-AMI net-metering capable meter for installation, or in 90 days, whichever comes sooner. [ *** ]
