National Grid & O&R File 2023 Community DG Standby Reports
National Grid filed its standby service rate opt-in report for calendar year 2023 National Grid stated it had no customers opting into the optional standby service rates in 2023 and the 2% aggregate threshold was not met in 2023.
As background, in its order authorizing the commencement of Community DG programs, the NYPSC directed Staff to initiate a matter to establish valuation methods for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) (that a matter be initiated to establish a methodology for valuing DER and designing rates for DER providers).
Previously on March 4th, O&R filed its standby service rate opt-in report for calendar year 2023. This report sets forth the number of customers within each service classification that participated in O&R’s optional standby service rates during calendar year 2023 and the bill impacts on non-participating customers within each such service classification.
