NYSERDA Seeks Extension to File Phase 2 IEDR Status and Summary Report

NYSERDA filed a request for extension of time to file the Integrated Energy Data Resource (IEDR) Phase 2 Status and Summary Report (which was due April 1st 2026) as was directed by the New York State Public Service Commission in its order approving the Integrated Energy Data Resource Phase 2 Budgets, issued on January 19, 2024.

Among other things, that order directed NYSERDA to file a Phase 2 Status and Summary Report “…on or before April 1, 2026, which is approximately three months before the expected completion of Phase 2.”

As explained in the notice for an extension of time, “NYSERDA, in consultation with the New York State Department of Public Service in April of 2025 shifted its focus to prioritizing the acquisition of foundational data that will benefit long-term use case development, and the development of a query tool that is intended to allow users to create custom and use prefabricated queries across foundational data sets.

As a result, NYSERDA hereby requests an extension, until July 1, 2026, to file the IEDR Phase 2 Status and Summary Report.”

NYSERDA states that “this additional time will allow NYSERDA to better align the filing of the report with meaningful Phase 2 program milestones related to data acquisition and query tool development and to provide a more complete and comprehensive report to the Commission. NYSERDA has presented this approach to the IEDR Steering Committee, which is in agreement with the request for this extension.”
