PURA Files Notice Of Opportunity To Comment In Hiring Of Consultant For Residential Renewable Energy Solutions, Non-Residential Renewable Energy Solutions, and Shared Clean Facility Programs

Pursuant to § 16-18a of the General Statutes of Connecticut, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA or Authority) has determined that it is necessary and desirable to retain one or more consultants to serve as an independent ombudsperson for the Residential Renewable Energy Solutions, Non-Residential Renewable Energy Solutions, and Shared Clean Facility Programs. The consultant(s) would supplement or complement the Authority’s existing staff knowledge or expertise in the areas of (1) mediating programmatic disputes; (2) resolving programmatic questions that result from a dispute; and (3) reviewing and approving extension requests beyond program in-service time period requirements. Participants and stakeholders may comment regarding the necessity or desirability of such services. Written comments are to be filed with the Authority and copies provided to the service list no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 23, 2024. A public hearing will be held on this issue only upon request of a Participant or stakeholder in this docket. Such request must be submitted in writing to the PURA Executive Secretary no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 23, 2024. [ *** ]
