PUCO Approves Electricity Arrangement For New Albany Data Center

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today approved a rate arrangement between New Albany Data Center and AEP Ohio.

New Albany Data Center is investing $500 million to construct its Silicon Heartland Datacenter Campus in New Albany, Ohio. 

Under the terms of the arrangement approved by the Commission, NADC will lease substation and associated equipment from AEP Ohio for an eight-year term. Lease payments will cover AEP Ohio’s required capital investment, return on equity, and maintenance expense for the associated equipment.
