Commission Grants Staff’s Motion for Default Order to Revoke REP Certificate

On April 2nd the Public of Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) issued a granted  Staff ‘s default order granting staff’s petition to revoke the retail electric provider certificate of ONXY Electric Energy LLC.

OnMarch 19, 2026, Staff issued a proposed default order alleging that ONXY’s REP certification should be revoked under PURA1 § 39.356(a) and 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) § 25.107(k) because ONXY: (1) failed to comply with emergency operations plan (EOP) filing requirements at the time of its initial application for registration in 2022 and every year thereafter, and (2) failed to timely respond to Commission inquiries regarding its failure to comply with EOP filing requirements.
