Utility Proposes Massive Increase to Small Customer Group’s Default Service Rate
On May 12, 2026 Granite State Electric (Liberty Utilities) in New Hampshire filed Proposed Tariff Pages indicating massive increases in its small customer (Residential and Small C&I) electricity default service rates.
Small Customer Group Default Energy Service Charges
Rate Effective August 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027 per kWh 21.128¢
The small customer group default service rate, to be fixed for the 6-month period starting August 1, 2026, at $0.21128 per kWh, compared to the current rate of $0.13735.
Large Customer Group Default Energy Service Charges August 2026 – January 2027.
