On July 20, 2026, AEP Texas filed an unopposed stipulation and settlement agreement that addresses AEP Texas’ application related to AEP Texas’ request to update its Rider Mobile Temporary Emergency Electric Energy (“TEEE”) Facilities related to recovery of the costs associated with the leasing and operation of mobile TEEE facilities in accordance with Public Utility Regulatory Act (“PURA”) § 39.918.

Parties to the stipulation include AEP Texas Inc., Public Utility Commission of Texas (Commission) Staff, Office of Public Utility Counsel (OPUC), Texas Industrial Energy Consumers (TIEC), and Cities Served by AEP Texas (Cities).  The only other party to this proceeding, Texas Industrial Energy Consumers (“TIEC”), is unopposed to the Agreement.

“Exhibit 1 to the Agreement contains the tariff schedule for Rider Mobile TEEE Facilities, consistent with the Agreement, and is the same schedule as provided with AEP Texas’ unopposed motion for interim rates. Exhibit 2 to the Agreement is a Proposed Order that would approve the Agreement and Rider Mobile TEEE Facilities. AEP Texas represented that the Agreement resolves all issues in this proceeding.”

“AEP Texas will provide notice of the interim rates to retail electric providers not later than the 45th day before the interim rates take effect, subject to refund or surcharge upon approval of the final rates in a Commission final order. If the final rate differs from the interim rate, AEP Texas will provide notice of the final rates to retail electric providers not later than the 45th day before the final rates take effect.”
