PUC Staff Seeks Temporary Pause in SCB Work Group
On July 22, 2026 Staff of the Maryland PSC have filed status report and request to temporarily pause the Supplier Consolidated Billing Work Group.
Staff indicates that it will provide a subsequent progress report by January 1, 2027.
As support of the temporary pause, Staff states, “[a]s of the date of this filing, Staff has received no formal expressions of interest or commitments from retail suppliers to resume active participation in the SCB Working Group.” . . . “Staff believes it is administrative and operationally prudent to formally pause the SCB Working Group process until retail suppliers are positioned to dedicate the necessary technical resources to tariff and customer education development.”
