Constellation Files Appendices Re: Dispatchable Generation and Large Capacity Energy Resources Projects

In response to the Maryland PSC’s order issued on July 29th, Constellation filed “partially redacted, public version of each of the appendices that accompanied the project applications for Project 1 and Project 2” related to the dispatchable generation and the large capacity energy resource solicitation.

As background, on October 31, 2025, Constellation filed three proposals pursuant to the Next Generation Energy Act (“NGEA”). On December 30, 2025, the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“Commission”) issued Order No. 92112 that, among other things, approved or conditionally approved two of Constellation’s proposed projects to use natural gas. Also on December 30, 2025, the Commission issued Order No. 92111 that, among other things, directed Constellation to resubmit its project applications “reducing the amount of redacted information contained in its applications.” On January 29, 2026, Constellation submitted a response to Order Nos. 92111 and 92112.2 On June 29, 2026, the Commission issued a letter order that directed Constellation to make an additional filing “by either filing a partially redacted, public version of the appendices, or explaining why the entirety of those appendices should be considered confidential.”
