PUC Approves REP Certificate
On August 5, 2026 a corrected notice of approval was issued by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) regarding the application of Distributed Power, LLC for an option 1 retail electric provider (REP) certificate. The order corrects the certificate number from a prior notice.
In the corrected order the Commission summarizes the applicant’s corporate status, application history, and supplemental submissions. It finds that Distributed Power satisfies requirements related to registration, financial integrity, technical and managerial capability, customer service, and compliance history under PURA and 16 TAC § 25.107.
No protests or motions to intervene were filed, Commission Staff supported approval, and informal disposition requirements were met.
The approved REP Certificate authorizes Distributed Power, LLC to provide retail electric service throughout Texas, requires service only under the approved name, mandates maintenance of a Texas office for customer service and records, and denies any other requested relief.
