Next Data Access Working Group Meeting Scheduled
The Illinois data access working group DAWG webpage has been updated with the recording and materials from the July 23 meeting. This includes all the written comments received to date re the Utility Data Access Act.
The next meeting is Thursday, August 20 at 1 pm.
Given the requirement that the Commission, within 180 days after the effective date of the new law, “adopt a standard form for a utility account holder to authorize the sharing of the utility account holder’s covered usage data”, Staff recommends that we start to collaborate on an agreed-upon standard form that can be utilized by the utilities.
The following topics will be discussed:
- Scope of the account holder’s authorization form: information beyond interval usage data?
- Format/method/delivery of the authorization form.
- Fixed expiration date of the authorization or valid until revoked?
- Impact on existing authorizations.
- Whether the usage authorization language applicable to RESs has any value here.
