State Data Center Meeting Updates
On August 17, 2026 the Maine Data Advisory Council (MDAC) posted its most recent newsletter -that among other things- posted materials from it August 13, 2026 meeting focused on energy considerations made available.
Previously on August 10, 2026, MDAC posted its earlier newsletter inviting interested parties to respond to Survey 4, “a brief survey about community and economic development pertaining to large-scale data centers to help inform the Council’s work.”
Responses to Survey 4 due by August 20, 2026.
Public listening sessions have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET on August 27, 2026 (registration link) and 5:00 p.m. ET and on September 1, 2026 (registration link).
A public meeting on policy recommendations scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET on September 9, 2026 (registration link); additional meeting to be scheduled for October 7, 2026 (registration link).
MDAC must submit final strategy report to the governor and legislature by January 29, 2027.
