Utility Seeks Approval of New Generation Rates

On August 17, 2026, Unitil (UI) filed a motion seeking Connecticut PURA approval of new generation rates for its LRS large C&I customers, effective October 1, 2026.
In its filing the utility said, “…that Last Resort Service generation revenues will increase by $52,853,771 which is an increase of 48.5%.
The overall effect on rates for customers taking Supplier of Last Resort Generation Service will be an increase of 30.8%…[UI] maintained the GSC administrative adder at its current value of 0.8049 ¢ per kWh.”
