Long Description: On July 31, 2026, ERCOT received Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resource:
- Chisholm Grid LLC (CHISMGRD_BES1, CHISMGRD_LD1)
The NSOs indicate that, as of December 28, 2026, the Generation Resource will decommission and retire permanently for a reason other than a Forced Outage. The NSO further stated that the Generation Resource has a summer Seasonal Net Max Sustainable Rating of 101.7 MW and a summer Seasonal Net Minimum Sustainable Rating of 0 MW.
Pursuant to requirements under ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.2 (3), ERCOT is issuing a determination that this Generation Resource is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability and may decommission and retire permanently according to the schedule in the NSO.
Additional Information: ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area. An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
With the implementation of RTCB, all of the batteries have been converted to ESRs. Prior to RTCB, they were split into two units, LDs and ESSs. The CHISMGRD_BES1, CHISMGRD_LD1 stated in the NSO, is the same as CHISMGRD_ESR1 since the implementation of RTCB.
