DOEE Response:

[ *** ] On behalf of the District of Columbia Government (DCG or the District), please allow this letter to serve as a response from the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) to the Inquiry of Commissioner Beverly, dated July 31, 2025, in the above captioned proceeding. Commissioner Beverly requested that DOEE respond within twenty (20) days of his Inquiry to questions he posed about the sufficiency of data provided by the Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco) for purposes of DOEE being able to calculate an error rate to be applied to subscriber credits and unsubscribed energy payments issued by Pepco.

DOEE has retained a contractor to assist it with this task, but due to the voluminous amount of data through which DOEE’s contractor must sift, plus the vacation schedules of key personnel within DOEE, DCG requests an additional two (2) weeks to provide its response to Commissioner Beverley’s Inquiry. DCG submits that there will be no prejudice to any party resulting from this short extension request.
