Good Afternoon,

Please be aware that on 5/6/2025, Unitil Energy Systems, Inc (d/b/a Unitil) received approval from the NH Public Utilities Commission (the “Commission”) Regarding Unitil’s proposed discount rates for use in the POR program (DE 23-002). 

Payments to Suppliers will be made on the closest business day approximately equal to the mid-point of the billing month plus the average payment period from billing to utility receipt of Customer payments for the most recent calendar year prior to the annual filing. The schedule below contains payment date information through August, 2026.

The last EDI 820 files for NON-POR payments will be transmitted to suppliers on 6/3/2025 for payments processed on 5/30/2025. Unitil will take the snapshot of receivables owed on 6/4 prior to any payments being posted and this will be sent for the 1st payment on 6/24/2025.  Billing transactions that start on 6/4 will be on the POR program and will be paid in July. 

Payment details sent to suppliers will remain in the 820 EDI format upon POR implementation and will be identical to POR 820 transactions used in Fitchburg Gas and Electric’s (FG&E) POR program. NOTE: A revised sample of the POR 820 transaction is located HERE with positive payment amounts.

The Standard Complete Billing Percentages to be deducted from the full amounts for generation service are as follows:
Residential (Rate Class Domestic):                                     0.43%
General Customer (Rate Class G2, OL, G1):                      1.63%
