Solar Energy Solicitations Face New Registration Requirements

A new statewide registry opened up for solar sellers in Rhode Island.  The registry was initiated to implement a state law enacted in 2024 which states, “All solar retailers selling, leasing, and/or soliciting residential solar energy systems for purchase or lease shall register with the department and shall renew such registration annually.
