Utility Files Substantially Lower Mass Market Default Service Rates

Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) has filed indicative Purchased Electricity Charges (PECs) for residential and small commercial default service customers beginning June 1, 2025 reflecting the spring default service procurement results.   The PEC rates presented below are not final prior to taking effect on June 1, 2025.  

The new proposed residential indicative PECs for the period June 2025 through September 2025 are 8.057 cents per kWh compared to the current ComEd residential PEC of 5.015 cents per kWh.

The indicative Watt-hour Non-Electric Space Heating PEC for the period June 2025 through September 2025 is 8.100 cents per kWh compared to the current ComEd Watt-hour Non-Electric Space Heating PEC of 5.046 cents per kWh.
