Commission Approves Gas Utilities’ Proposals To Revise State Tax Adjustment Surcharge

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission issued a secretarial letter that the revised STAS calculation results in a positive STAS of 0.07% applied to the specified maximum delivery charges.

As background, this is a proceeding for Peoples Natural Gas’ proposed tariff (supp No. 11 to PA PUC No. 48), that proposed to become effective April 10, 2025, to revise the state tax adjustment surcharge(STATS).  In the filing, Peoples proposed that the revised STAS calculation results in a positive STAS of 0.07% applied to specified maximum delivery charges.
