PURA Grants Office Of Consumer Counsel’s Motion To Extend Comment Deadline In Energy Affordability Annual Review

On January 29, 2025, the Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC) submitted a motion for extension of time (Motion No. 3) to the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority). In Motion No. 3, OCC seeks an extension to file comments in response to the Authority’s January 21, 2025 Notice of Request for Written Comments (Notice) from February 11, 2025, to March 6, 2025. OCC states that such an extension is necessary as OCC has issued interrogatories regarding the items raised in the Notice that are due on February 12, 2025. Motion No. 3, p. 1. OCC asserts that “subsequent clarification might be required” after interrogatory responses are received. Id. Additionally, OCC notes that stakeholders “have not had the opportunity to file a motion to participate in [the above-captioned] docket,” and that stakeholders face concurrent procedural deadlines. Id. 

The Authority grants Motion No. 3. Accordingly, written comments in response to the Notice are now due by March 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. This extension is granted to all participants of the record.
