Notice Type: Tariff Notification – AEP Texas Inc. Transmission Cost Recovery Factor (TCRF) with rates effective March 1, 2025.
Short Description: On November 25, 2024, AEP Texas Inc. filed a petition to update its TCRF in PUCT Docket No. 57356. AEP Texas’s final rates were approved by the Commission with issuance of a notice of approval on January 8, 2025, approving the updated TCRF rates. The updated combined AEP Texas TCRF is effective for bills rendered on and after March 1, 2025.

Long Description: AEP Texas Inc. filed for approval of an update to its Transmission Cost Recovery Factor (TCRF) on November 25, 2025, in PUCT Docket No. 57356. Commission Staff has reviewed AEP Texas’s petition and confirmed that the calculations reflected in the amended attachments and work papers are accurate. Commission Staff filed their Final Recommendation on December 30, 2024, recommending approval of the Rider TCRF. AEP Texas’s final rates were approved by the Commission with issuance of a notice of approval on January 8, 2025. The updated TCRF for AEP Texas Inc. is effective for bills rendered on and after March 1, 2025.
The TCRF allows a distribution service provider (DSP) to update its TCRF twice per year to pass through the wholesale transmission cost changes billed by a transmission service provider (TSP).
Additional Information: Effective date of the updated TCRF Rider is March 1, 2025. Attached is the updated rider TCRF as amended on December 20, 2024.
