Notice Type:  Tariff Notification – Compliance Filing of AEP Texas Inc. to Cease Billing Transition Charge-3 Rates Under Rider TC-3

Short Description:  On November 8, 2024, AEP Texas Inc. filed a compliance filing to temporarily cease billing transition charges under schedule TC-3.  AEP Texas’ zero TC-3 rates are effective for bills rendered on and after December 31, 2024.

Long Description:  AEP Texas Inc. filed to temporarily cease billing TC-3 rates pursuant to the Financing Order in Docket No. 39931 on Friday, November 8, 2024, in PUCT Docket No. 57277.  In its petition, AEP Texas proposed TC-3 rates for its central division effective for bills rendered on and after November 26, 2024.  On November 25, 2024, AEP Texas filed a notice of revised proposed effective date of December 31, 2024.  On December 6, 2024, Commission Staff filed its recommendation recommending approval of the revised effective date and a Notice of Approval was issued on December 16, 2024, approving the temporary zero factors.  There will be no further annual true-up process for Rider TC-3.  AEP Texas will submit a separate compliance filing to address any final over- or under collections under Schedule TC-3 and Rider TC-3 once all final billings and reconciliations are completed.

Additional Information:  Effective date of the updated TC-3 rates is December 31, 2024.  The final approved TC-3 rider is attached.
