Commission Files Notice Of Comment Period And Hearings In 2024-20246 EmPOWER Maryland Program

[ *** ] The Maryland Commission hereby gives notice that it will conduct a legislative-style hearing on October 30, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, 16th Floor, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland to consider the Q1/Q2 2025 semi-annual reports of The Potomac Edison Company,1 Baltimore Gas and Electric Company,2 Delmarva Power & Light Company,3 Potomac Electric Power Company,4 Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative, Inc.,5 Washington Gas Light Company,6 and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).7
At the October 30 hearing, the Commission will also consider the Alternative EmPOWER Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan filed by Washington Gas Light Company,8 the status update on 15-minute interval data,9 the UPM for HPWHs by the Midstream Work Group,10 the implementation plans for midstream electrification measures by the Midstream Work Group,11 the Limited Income Work Group Report,12 the Moderate Income Work Group Report,13 the Future Programming Work Groups report regarding Staff’s GHG Reduction and Demand Response Goal,14 the Future Programming Work Group report addressing third-party involvement in future planning,15 and GHG reduction and the PIM analysis by the Cost Recovery Work Group.16
Written comments on the EMPOWER Maryland Plans, semi-annual reports, and other reports shall be filed by October 15, 2025. All filings should be addressed to Andrew S. Johnston, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, and reference “Case No. 9705” in the subject line. The Commission encourages the parties to use its “E-file” system to submit the electronic version of the filing.
