PSC Files Notice To Proceed On Maryland Community Solar Program

Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) filed a notice to proceed recommending next steps for non-critical program elements of the Maryland Community Solar Program based on Order No. 91524.

This now begins a period of data collection for the community solar billing launch from October 2025–January 2026 and continued coordination with the Net Metering Work Group to identify any implementation issues.

Next steps include:

MDPSC Staff must file a letter detailing recommended non-critical elements for a subsequent rulemaking by October 31, 2025.

Staff must submit a status update on Maryland’s Community Solar Program implementation by April 1, 2026.
