Office Of People’s Counsel Files Minutes From October 8th PJM Capacity Auction Task Force Meeting; Requests Extension Of Time To File Auction Task Force Recommendation Report
OPC is requesting an extension of the deadline for filing part two of the PJM Capacity Auction Task Force Report to February 5, 2025.
From Motion:
[ *** ] The task force submitted part one of the report on July 31, 2025. The task force has continued to meet to discuss topics and ideas for part two of the report, meeting approximately once every 30 days. Further time, however, is needed to discuss long-term ideas to help address the capacity auction. This includes additional discussions with PJM on forecasting, the capacity auction, and how best to leverage local strategies such as demand response to reduce the impact of the capacity auction. OPC notes that all members of the Task Force were notified about the motion to enlarge and a draft was shared. Pepco, DCG, and AOBA confirmed that they do not object. The remaining members did not respond or object to OPC’s request for enlargement of time.
