Parties File Comments On WGL’s PROJECTpipes 2 Plan; Commissioner Beverly Files Notice Regarding Charts Prepared To Show Cost/Benefits

From Commissioner Beverly’s Notice:
Washington Gas Light Company (“WGL”) recently filed a response to Commission Order No. 21940 requesting information regarding PROJECTpipes. My office has used that information to prepare charts (Attachment A) which will help us all understand the cost/benefit of continuing this program. The issuance of these charts is done solely through my office, pursuant to my independent authority under D.C. Code §34-802 and is not intended to represent the opinion of the full Commission. You are not required to do anything in response to this issuance, but I invite all parties (which includes WGL) to let me know whether you think the charts properly reflect the data or, alternatively, provide me with charts of your own. In developing these charts, my office has assumed that WGL provided the requested information in Order No. 21940, that included the miles of pipe replaced and the total cost. If the service line data, which was provided as the total amount of service lines replaced, was included in the total cost, then it would be helpful if WGL would convert that data into miles to allow for these charts to be updated.
