From the Maryland OPC’s letter regarding United American Marketing  (UAM) license application condition:

[ *** ] pursuant to Section 13-201(d) of the Public Utilities Article of the Maryland Code (PUA)  and the Maryland Public Service Commission’s licensing authority under PUA § 7-507, OPC agrees with Staff’s recommendation that, prior to granting the requested license, the Commission should require UAM: (1) to pay a civil penalty of at least $3,067.34 for operating within Maryland without a license authorized by the Commission for several years; and (2) direct UAM to notify the Commission within 30 days of any changes to the information upon which the Commission relies on in granting the license. Additionally, OPC recommends that the Commission should: a) ensure UAM submits to Staff for review any training and marketing materials used in Maryland; and b) require the confidential version of Staff’s Comments to be refiled as an unredacted public version.
