PURA Issues Notice Of Technical Meeting In Investigation Into Revenue Adjustment Mechanisms For A Performance-Based Regulation Framework

From the Connecticut Public Utility Regulatory Authority (PURA) Notice: 

[ *** ] The Authority hereby notifies Participants and interested stakeholders that it will hold a technical meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m., via remote access (Technical Meeting No. 6). The purpose of Technical Meeting No. 6 is to advance various investigative topics related to the ESM, RDM, and Capex / Opex Equalization Mechanisms identified for further investigation in this docket’s Straw Proposal. As such, the Authority calls for presentations from Participants and interested stakeholders to further analyze the following aspects of the Straw Proposal’s revenue adjustment mechanisms: (1) ESM Tiers; (2) RDM Revenue Category Exception – 120+ hours service outage; and (3) Regulatory Asset Treatment. Presentations on the above-listed topics may include analysis of specific proposals, discussion of the use of such mechanisms in peer jurisdictions, and/or recommendations for further investigation. Technical Meeting No. 6 will also include a question-and-answer period to discuss the presentations.

All Participants and interested stakeholders planning to present must provide to the case coordinator, Laura Lupoli, at laura.lupoli@ct.gov, by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, a list of presenters and an estimated time to present at Technical Meeting No. 6. All Participants and interested stakeholders providing presentations must file their presentations through the Authority’s web filing system and provide a copy to the case coordinator by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024.
