NY-Sun Posts MW Dashboard For Upstate Residential Affordable Solar Block
NY-Sun is pleased to announce the release of an Upstate Residential Affordable Solar Block of 5 MW at $.80/W for projects with eligible low- to moderate-income customers. Please note that the MW Dashboard displays less than 5 MW for the new Residential Affordable Solar Block, which reflects eligible projects in Central Hudson and Orange and Rockland territories that submitted applications after the closure of MW Block 13.
The Green Jobs – Green NY (GJGNY) loan program also remains available to eligible customers. Prior to contractor’s applying for the Residential Affordable Solar incentive, customers must establish household eligibility by completing the NYSERDA Income Eligibility Application. For full details, refer to the updated NY-Sun Program Manual.
In addition, the final Upstate Residential MW Block (Block 14) has closed. Since 2014, the NY-Sun Upstate Residential Program has incentivized over 626 MWs of solar development in New York.
