ALJ Issues Recommended Decision In Non-Unanimous Rate Case Settlement

An Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) filed a  recommended decision that would adopt without modification Pike’s non-unanimous full settlement of gas base rate proceedings. 

Under the recommended decision, Pike would be allowed to establish rates that produce an overall increase in annual gas distribution operating revenues of approximately $825,000 in two phases: 

  • Phase I increase of $495,000 in year 1, effective 10/15/25 
  • Phase II increase of $330,000 in year 2, effective 10/15/26

Note that Pike withdrew the proposed Weather Normalization Adjustment without prejudice.
