PUC Approves AEP Transition Charge Refund Rider To REPs
AEP Texas filed a tariff in response to the Texas Commission’s approval to implement a new Transition Charge-3 refund rider, to Retail Electric Providers (REPs) that would apply to the former AEP Texas Central service area customers only. This tariff filing is filed per the Commission’s January 1, 2026 final order regarding AEP Texas Rider 6.1.1.2.1.1, Refund for Overcollections of Transitional Charge Rider (TC-3)
The refund rider rates are effective on January 30, 2026, and is effective for a period of two months. This rider terminates once the refund of the over-collection is complete.
