ALJ Issued Proposed Order Approving IPA’s Proposed 2025 Electricity Procurement Plan
At the Illinois Commerce Commission an Administrative Law Judge issued a proposed order substantively accepting the IPA’s proposed 2025 Electric procurement plan.
Excerpts from V Findings And Order Paragraphs:
{***} (4) the load forecast for Ameren Illinois Company d/b/a Ameren Illinois attached to the Illinois Power Agency’s September 30, 2024 Petition should be approved; the load forecast for Commonwealth Edison Company attached to the Illinois Power Agency’s September 30, 2024 Petition should be approved; and the load forecast for MidAmerican Energy Company attached to the Illinois Power Agency’s September 30, 2024 Petition should be approved;
(5) the 2025 Plan filed by the Illinois Power Agency pursuant to Section 16- 111.5 of the Public Utilities Act, and as modified herein, should be approved; the 2025 Plan, and load forecasts found appropriate above, will ensure adequate, reliable, affordable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable electric service at the lowest total cost over time, taking into account any benefits of price stability; in making this finding, the Commission is not 24-0727 14 expressing its concurrence in every statement or opinion contained in the 2025 Plan and no presumptions are created with respect thereto;
(6) the Illinois Power Agency shall file a revised procurement Plan, that includes the modifications approved herein, as a compliance filing in accordance with 20 ILCS 3855/1-75(f) of the Illinois Power Agency Act; and
(7) all motions, petitions, objections, and other matters in this proceeding which remain unresolved should be disposed of consistent with the conclusions herein. {***}
