PURA Files Notice Of Proceeding In Application Of Eversource Energy To Amend Rate Schedule

On October 3, 2024, Yankee Gas Services Company d/b/a Eversource Energy (Company or Yankee) submitted a notice of intent to file an application to amend its existing rate schedules on or about November 6, 2024. Conn. Agencies Regs. §16-1- 22(b). Upon receipt of a completed rate amendment application (Application) by Yankee, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority or PURA) will conduct a contested proceeding pursuant to General Statutes §§ 16-11, 16-19, 16-19b, 16-19e, 16-19bb, 16- 19gg(b), as amended by § 6 of Public Act 23-102, An Act Strengthening Protections for Connecticut’s Consumers of Energy (Public Act 23-102), 16-19kk, 16-19oo, 16-19tt, as amended by § 1 of Public Act 23-102, 16-19yy, and 16-22. The Authority will proceed with a review and investigation of the financial and operating records of the Company pursuant to General Statutes § 16-19a, if the Application is not filed by December 2, 2024.
