In New York the Advanced Technologies Working Group filed its 2025 Annual Report .

Among other things the report identifies current including the shortcomings in the processes that could identify dynamic line rating as a solution, geographical applicability, and a mismatch between use case and the number of deployment opportunities.

As background in the New York PSC’s order initiating this proceeding stated its goal as “to develop and consider proposals for implementing the provisions of the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act with respect to distribution and transmission upgrades, capital expenditures and planning. This initiating order also directed the utilities to develop local transmission and distribution projects.
