On September 26, , 2024, in Docket No. 20-G-0131 (Gas Planning Procedures), the PSC held a technical conference on DPS’s Straw Proposal regarding Development Modification of 16 NYCRR Part 230 which sets forth the rights, requirements, and responsibilities of utilities and applicants for gas service. Multiple comments were also submitted. 

On September 20, , 2024,  in Docket No 23-G-0147 (Review of the Long-Term Gas System Plans of ConEd and Orange & Rockland), the PSC issued an Order directing ConEd and O&R to provide additional information and to propose pilot programs to take steps toward decarbonizing the gas systems in their service territories. The Order requires the companies to proceed with a strategy to lower their GHG emissions and to provide bill impact analyses, a definition for hard-to-electrify customers, propose pilot demand response programs, and file a non-pipes alternative deployment plan, among other actions. Press Release available here.

On September 26, , 2024, in  Docket No. 24-G-0248 (Review of the Long-Term Gas System Plans of National Grid),  PA Consulting filed its Initial Report of National Grid’s Gas System Long-Term Plan. Multiple comments on the plan were also filed.
