PULJ Files Notice of Prehearing Conference in Columbia Gas of Maryland’s Application for Authority to Increase Rates And Charges

On September 24, 2024, Columbia Gas of Maryland, Inc. (“Columbia” or “the Company”) filed an application with the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“the Commission”) for authority to increase its operating revenues by approximately $8.7 million. The Company’s application included supporting testimony and exhibits, and requested an effective date of October 24, 2024 for its proposed rates and charges. On September 24, 2024, by Order No. 91332, the Commission suspended the proposed rates and charges for a period of 180 days from October 24, 2024, and delegated this matter to the Public Utility Law Judge Division.

A pre-hearing conference is hereby scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., to establish a procedural schedule, consider any petitions to intervene, and any other preliminary matters. The hearing will be held virtually and streamed live via the Public Utility Law Judge’s (“PULJ”) YouTube Channel.1
