A new Pennsylvania law  took effect August 27, 224 that prohibits retail suppliers from levying early termination fees on contracts terminated upon death of the customer.

 

State Rep. Borowski issued a co-sponsorship memo on August 22 on pending legislation she plans to introduce on “updating negative options to protect PA consumers” that would require affirmative consent for contract renewal.
