Notice Of Violation Filed Against Yankee Gas Company
A Notice of Violation was filed against Yankee Gas Services Company d/b/a Eversource Energy for failing to follow written procedures for joining plastic pipe in violation of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

As a result of this charged violation, the Authority prescribes a civil penalty of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). See General Statutes §§ 16-41 and 16-280e.2 In addition, the Authority orders Yankee to return any recovered civil penalty dollars to ratepayers, to make operational changes, and to obtain Authority approval to recover expenditures based on this Notice.
