Start-Up Retail Supplier Led By Energy Marketing Vet Receives License
PUCO granted Carnation Energy a retail natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.
Carnation Energy intends to serve both C&I and residential customers with an initial focus on Enbridge Gas Ohio (f/k/a Dominion East Ohio), with plans to expand to Columbia Gas of Ohio in the future
Ohio is the first state in which Carnation Energy sought certification as a retail energy supplier. The company indicated that it would seek licenses in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Maryland as well
Carnation Energy is led by Sean Clements who has experience across various energy industries, including E&P, midstream, and natural gas marketing, as principal and as a consultant through pre-acquisition financial forecasting; mergers, acquisitions and divestiture (M&A and A&D) transactions; in- and out-of-court restructurings, and other matters.
