IPA Releases Draft 2025 Annual Electricity Procurement Plan for Public Review and Comment

The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) released the draft 2025 Electricity Procurement Plan, which sets forth the IPA’s block energy and capacity procurement approach to meet the supply requirements of residential and small commercial customers taking electricity supply service from Ameren Illinois, Commonwealth Edison, and MidAmerican Energy Company. 

The IPA welcomes public comments on the draft Electricity Procurement Plan. Written comments are due on Monday, September 16. The Agency will also hold three virtual public hearings (one for each utility service territory) for the draft Electricity Procurement Plan on Thursday, September 12.
