Commission Files Notice Of Hearing And Opportunity To Comment In The Matter Of The Review Of Annual Performance Reports On Electric Service Reliability

Pursuant to COMAR 20.50.12.11, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, Potomac Electric Power Company, Delmarva Power & Light Company, Potomac Edison Company, and Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative, Inc., (individually, the “Electric Company” and, collectively, the “Electric Companies”) filed with the Commission their respective 2023 Annual Performance Reports (“Reports”) on electric service reliability.  Public Utilities Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, § 7-213(f)(1) requires the Commission, on or before September 1 of each year, to review and determine whether each Electric Company has met the service quality and reliability standards adopted by the Commission.

The Commission hereby gives notice that it will conduct an in-person only, legislative style hearing on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, for the purpose of reviewing the Reports and to determine whether the Electric Companies have met the service quality and reliability standards adopted by the Commission.

The hearing will be held in the Commission’s 16th Floor Hearing Room, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Written comments on the Reports shall be electronically filed by Tuesday, July 16, 2024, and addressed to Andrew S. Johnston, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.
