ALJ Issues Scheduling Memo In DTE’s Voluntary Green Pricing Program & MEIU Seek Rehearing
Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council, Institute for Energy Innovation, and Advanced Energy United (MEIU) filed joint petition for rehearing. MEIU argues that MIPSC erred in finding that “DTE Electric complied with the Commission’s previous directive to file in this case a mechanism to purchase RECs from DG customers,” suggesting that the discussion “appears to rest on erroneous assumptions about how RECs are related to energy generated by renewable energy systems.”
Testimony on contested partial settlement due by 5/30/24; rebuttal testimony due by 6/7/24.
Proceeding for DTE to file its next voluntary green pricing program. As background, the voluntary green pricing programs are required in state law, so there are little suppliers can do to blunt the negative competitive impact of the offerings except to minimize harm as much as possible through participation in this docket.
