Bill Introduced to Establish a Community Solar Pilot Program in Ohio

SB247  introduced that adds amendments to current regulations including:

(Q) Encourage the development of community solar facilities, as defined in section 4934.01 of the Revised Code, for the benefit of customers in this state and to facilitate participation by customers with the facilities. (R) Establish a community solar pilot program, pursuant to sections 4934.04 to 4934.17 of the Revised Code. 

(S) Establish program evaluations and consumer protections ensuring community solar subscribers are effectively and equitably receiving guaranteed savings, as defined in section 4934.01 of the Revised Code, from participating in the community solar pilot program.
