Re: In the Matter of the Competitive Selection of Electricity Supplier/Standard Offer or Default Service for Investor-Owned Utility Small Commercial Customers; and for the Potomac Edison Company d/b/a Allegheny Power’s, Delmarva Power and Light Company’s and Potomac Electric Power Company’s Residential Customers

From Notice (Type II SOS): 

The Commission hereby gives notice of a hearing on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., for the Standard Offer Service (“SOS”) Bid Monitor consultant and the Commission’s Technical Staff to brief the Commission on the conduct of the April 8, 2024 solicitations for offers for quarterly contracts for the Type II SOS loads by each of The Potomac Edison Company (“PE”), Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (“BGE”), Delmarva Power and Light Company (“DPL”), and Potomac Electric Power Company (“Pepco”) (collectively the “IOUs”) and the results, in conjunction with the hearing for review of the IOU’s residential SOS procurement results and BGE, DPL, and Pepco’s Type I results. 1 The IOUs are hereby directed to provide Commission Staff no later than 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, with individual class retail bill impact data consistent with the results of the April 8, 2024, bids to ensure that Staff is able to file its written testimony in the matter prior to the hearing commencement time.

The hearing will be held in the Commission’s Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, 16th Floor, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. As discussed in Order No. 81102 in Case No. 9064, the Commission will conduct a review of confidential and highly commercially sensitive bidder specific data during the process and at the hearings. The public briefing, therefore, will include only the information that can be made public under the provisions of the request for proposals and the full requirements service agreement. Additionally, the Commission will solicit remarks from any of the parties and members of the public following the briefing. To the extent necessitated by confidentiality considerations, the Commission will employ in camera procedures.
