Activities Related To Unitil’s Amendments To Cost Of Gas Factors
Re: Unitil filed an application for a change in the cost of gas factor (CGF) rate for the summer period of 2024.
On February 22, 2024, Hearing Examiners issued procedural order setting an expedited schedule.
On February 16, 2024, the Hearing Examiners issued notice of application.
On February 15, 2024, Unitil filed 2024 Summer cost of gas adjustment, effective 5/1/24 Of note: (1) “The proposed 2024 Summer Period CGF for residential customers is $0.3845 per therm,” which is “$0.0378 per therm or about 11 percent higher than the average 2023 Summer Period CGF”; and (2) “The typical total bill for a residential heating customer consuming 130 therms during the 2024 Summer Period is projected to be $340.72. This amount is higher than the 2023 Summer Period’s typical total bill by $22.69 or about 7.13 percent.”
