AES CE Solutions TX Files Option 2 Application
On August 5, 2026 AES CE Solutions TX, LLCfiled with the Texas PUC an Option 2 Application.
An Option 2 certificate is applicable to retail electric providers (REPs) that plan to serve customers using one megawatt or more of electricity with which it has contracted to provide services. As part of the application process, within 30 days of the application being approved, or before the application is approved, the Applicant must provide an affidavit from each of the REP’s customers with which it has contracted to provide one megawatt of energy or more and that the customer accepts the REP’s ability to provide continuous and reliable electric service based on the REP’s financial, managerial. and technical resources. Applicant acknowledges that failure for any reason to provide a customer affidavit within 30 days of the application for an Option 2 REP certificate being approved will result in the REP certificate being administratively revoked.
