ALJ Issued a proposed order On ComEd’s Refiled Grid Plan.
Exceptions to proposed order due by 11/1/24; replies to exceptions due by 11/15/24.
Among other things the proposed order would: (1) find that, with modifications adopted, ComEd’s refiled grid plan (RGP) is cost-effective in accordance with statute; (2) find that there is no dispute that ComEd’s affordability framework, on the whole, “is designed to – and does – achieve” statutory objectives; (3) approve ComEd’s refiled multi-year rate plan (MYRP) with revenue requirements of approximately: (i) 2024: $3.792 billion, an increase of $307 million, $3 million less than request on refiling; (ii) 2025: $3.872 billion, an increase of $80 million, $20 million less than request on refiling; (iii) 2026: $4.008 billion, an increase of $136 million,$6 million less than request on refiling; and (iv) 2027: $4.134 billion, an increase of $125 million, $12 million less than request on refiling; and (4) reaffirm ICC’s prior determination of an ROR of 6.572% and ROE of 8.905%, finding that “that ComEd inappropriately attempts to change the rate of return in this RGP proceeding.”
