Hello,
Pending CT PURA approval in Docket No. 21-07-17, a new medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) rate will go into effect January 1, 2026.
EDI transactions currently supporting the transmission of a distribution rate will include this new rate: “EVH”.
The EVH rate will use the load profile of Rate 35.
The EVH rate is initially expected to only impact approximately two accounts. Distribution rate changes are not expected to be made until late January 2026.
